Usage & Storage
Treats can be served straight from the cup, mixed with dry food or frozen. Shelf stable for up to 18 months. Does not require refrigeration or special handling.

Omega 3 fatty acids, EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid), reduce inflammation by helping the body to produce anti-inflammatory prostaglandins.  These hormone-like substances are responsible for regulating all the cells in our body. EPA/DHA help to inhibit the production of androgens, which are hormones that influence the production of sebum in the hair follicle.  Excess sebum production can lead to skin problems.

Supplementing with fish oil that contains EPA/DHA can alleviate the symptoms of skin disorders such as dry and flaky skin, psoriasis, and eczema as well as many other inflammatory skin conditions. To realize the benefit of EPA/DHA it is important to choose a fish oil that is high in EPA/DHA.   For this reason Wild Alaskan salmon is considered the best source.  Smart Pup Skin and Coat uses Wild Alaskan Salmon.
